Lyndsey and Joe met in 2005. Quickly realising they had the same ambitions in life to travel and own their own Salon. Whilst seeing the world in 2007, ideas were thrown back and forth about their future salon, i.e. the name, what the space would look like, music etc. ‘”we had a great influence from seeing different businesses around the world, from resorts in Vietnam, salons in Bangkok or spas in New Zealand.” Through these experiences the pair had a good idea what they wanted to provide; a professional service along with welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Marrying in Thailand in 2008 sealed their future. After returning to Newcastle, there was only one plan. The Salon. Sabai.

Lyndsey began her career in hairdressing using the trade as a means to travel, encouraging her to meet and learn from many creative and different people along the way. It is clear to see that this has stayed with her, as she returned to her roots to base herself in a well-known city centre salon in Newcastle. Lyndsey uses her instinct and her natural eye to make sure your hair portrays the right image; one which reflects your personality. She has formal training and experience in abundance but has never been scared of breaking the rules to give the client something unique. Lyndsey’s passion has always been with colour, her experience and advanced colour theory gives her confidence to instinctively know what colour is best for you.

Joe was inspired through the family hairdressing business, which then lead him to London to pursue his career in hairdressing. An Intense training course gave Joe an understanding and the classic foundations he would need to pursue his ambition of owning his own salon. His years of experience working in a large team gave him his natural flare. Joe is a great listener, and this coupled with his care and attention to detail ensures you leave the salon with exactly what you want.

Jill has spent years managing a large salon in the city centre giving her the ability to communicate with all ages. Jill is great with all aspects of hairdressing including wedding hair and permanent waving. Years of experience will ensure your every need is met.

Janine is our newest member of the team. Janine has worked as a nurse for the past ten years and wanted to change her career. After qualifying in hairdressing 2 years ago, Janine was ready to make the move. As a technician, Janine shows natural ability and enthusiasm to learn new techniques.

Zoe knew from a very young age that hairdressing would be her passion. She is always willing to learn new areas of hairdressing and she is showing great potential. Zoe is currently studying to further her hair qualifications.
